This Cookies Policy explains how Glyffio (“Glyffio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on Glyffio websites (including https://glyffio.com) and Speargly where applicable. Speargly is a SaaS product provided by Glyffio.

1. What Cookies Are

    Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and similar identifiers.

    Cookies may be “session” (deleted when you close the browser) or “persistent” (remain until they expire or you delete them). They may be set by Glyffio (“first-party”) or by third parties (“third-party”).

2. Essential Cookies

    Essential cookies and similar technologies are needed for core functionality, such as:

    • security and basic session continuity for Glyffio and Speargly web apps;
    • remembering consent preferences if a banner is shown; and
    • enabling core navigation of Speargly’s Ingest → Assets → Queue → Explain flow.
  2. 2.2

    Without essential technologies, parts of the Glyffio websites or Speargly may not work properly.

    Current state: No analytics cookies or analytics vendors are identified in the Glyffio about page, Speargly about page, Speargly landing page, or Speargly app materials.

    If analytics are added, this section will be updated with provider names and cookies details.

5. Third-Party Technologies

  1. 5.1

    Third parties may set cookies or load resources when you use Glyffio or Speargly pages.

    When you ingest an origin URL in Speargly, your browser or Glyffio’s processing path may request that third-party origin to fetch the image. That request is directed by you and is governed by the origin’s own terms and privacy practices.

    Those third parties’ practices are governed by their own policies (for example, Google’s privacy documentation for Google Fonts).

6. Cookies Controls

  1. 6.1

    You can control cookies through your browser settings (block, delete, or alert you before cookies are stored). Blocking essential cookies may affect site or product functionality. You can clear `sessionStorage` (including `speargly_ingest_url`) via browser site settings.

  2. 6.2

    Glyffio/Speargly product pages do not currently ship a dedicated cookies preference center. If a consent banner is added later, non-essential cookies will be manageable there.

  3. 6.3

    Device or browser “do not track” and regional opt-out tools may also apply depending on your location; effectiveness varies by technology and jurisdiction.

7. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Cookies Policy as our use of cookies changes. The “Last updated” date will reflect revisions.
